Text Box: From Vicki, BGA Director
Text Box: Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the 2007-08 school year at Blooming Grove Academy. The beginning of school is exciting for all ages. I have been in education for 35 years and I still get a few butterflies and feel the excitement in the air as school begins.

The teachers and staff are busy getting their classrooms ready and preparing for their students to arrive. The floors are shiny clean thanks to Reggie’s hard work, but soon student footprints throughout the halls will be happily present. This year we have three new classroom teachers and two new teaching assistants who have joined our veteran staff. We are very happy to welcome the following new teachers to Blooming Grove: Nancy Bennett, Cristen Susong, Erin Hoppock, Tricia Bosola, and Gail Henson. Nancy will be teaching our 6th through 8th grade students, Cristen will be teaching 3rd through 4th grade students and Erin with be teaching the half day early learners. Tricia will be assisting in Nina’s early learner classroom and Gail will be assisting in Peg’s classroom.

The BGA Board of Directors and staff are very happy to be reuniting with Al Millirin, Co-founder of Blooming Grove and Adlerian psychologist, and Wes Wingette, Adlerian psychologist and long time BGA supporter and contributor, at our opening day institutes that are being held at Davis Lodge at Lake Bloomington. Al and Wes will be working with our staff and board members to help us make future plans for student learning and school development at BGA. Al and Wes always bring excellent learning topics for our staff, coupled with enthusiastic innovation. Please join us if you can on August 21st at 6:30 PM for a discussion with Al on Adlerian Philosophy and what that means for BGA as we move into the 2007-08 school year and beyond. We will meet in Room 114, the Community Room. Mark your calendars for a conversation with Al that you won’t want to miss!

The board and staff are dedicated to making this year a very positive experience for all who enter our school, especially our students. Communication is the key ingredient to the success of any school or business. Please know that my door is open if you need to contact me about any questions or concerns that you or any family member might have throughout the school year. I am looking forward to seeing all of you again on August 22nd if not before.

Sincerely,
Vicki
