CHANGING THE WORLD, ONE CHILD AT
A TIME
MISSION: The mission of Blooming Grove Academy is to positively
impact our world by fostering the development of the whole person
including intellectual, academic, creative, and social skills.
LOCATION: The playgrounds and 1915 brick school building with large windows and
terrazzo floors are located 5 blocks east of downtown Bloomington. BGA
is within walking distance of the Bloomington Public Library, McLean
County Historical Society, Constitution Trail, McLean County Arts Center
and other business and cultural opportunities.
STUDENT BODY: BGA enrolls
130+ students from countries around the globe, (ages 3 years through
14) who are living in Bloomington/Normal and surrounding counties.
FACULTY: There are eleven teachers, six classroom
assistants, and three administrators with an average of more than
seven years experience at BGA. Some have advanced degrees;
all enjoy being a part of the BGA family.
CURRICULUM: BGA
has a three-fold curriculum: academic (based on the Illinois Learning
Standards), creative, and social.
